My name is Lui. Personal loss and the death of people close to me whom left too young have been a recurring theme in my life. The death of my father left the strongest mark–it was unexpected for he left us at the young age of 48. I was barely 22 when I wrote a tribute for him after his passing away 20 years ago. The below reel is a serendipitous result of piecing together of the past and the present. When a tribute is written for a loved one who is no longer with us, it is more of a gesture to console and inspire the still living.
Lui is an award-winning copywriter, with experience spanning 15 years.
While tutoring abandoned children and multitasking in a Rotary Children’s Home, she was awarded with a Distinction in the Cambridge International Certificate of Teaching & Learning in 2022. She holds a C2 proficiency (Mastery) in the English language (ECPE) and an Honours Diploma in Feature Writing (London School of Journalism). Spanish is her fourth language, in which she had typed work reports and written bittersweet love letters with a fountain pen gifted by her late father.
